I spoke to experts on the Israeli “cellular revolution” that was never reported on in Canada.
Turns out Israel used to have its own “big three” problem. But unlike Canada, they had a government minister that stood up to them. He faced attacks in the media and government from the powerful lobbyists and media companies connected to telecom.
But he stuck with it, and as a result Isreal pays up to 90 per cent less on its cell phone bills and has a competitive marketplace that exist still today.
